What is the largest capacity flash card for the Canon FS100?
I should've asked before purchasing the Trancsend 8gb Class 6 sdhc memory card, but still... will this work? and is there a limit to the memory card's GB?

OK, I did a little research for you. First, my friend has the FS100 camcorder so I just looked in the instruction manual and on Page 102 it says:
Recording Media
SD or SDHC (SD High Capacity) memory card (not included)It DOES NOT state what size the card can be in Gigabytes (GB's).
But your 8 GB card should work! My friend has the exact same card in their camcorder and it works fine. It's the Transcend 8 GB Class 6 card just like yours. (Somebody even has a picture of one on the SDHC Wikipedia page!)
As for whether there is a limit on the memory card's GB's, I also looked on Wikipedia for you, and it states that SDHC cards can theoretically go up to 2 Terabytes (TB) in capacity, which is 2,048 Gigabytes (GB)! However, it also states that 32 GB is currently the maximum with the current SDHC version. You can't believe everything on Wikipedia, but I think this is pretty accurate information.
OK, I hope this helps. And I suggest recording at the best recording mode, which is the "XP" setting. You should be able to record about 1 hour 50 minutes on an 8 GB card at that setting.
Oh, one more thing, I just saw on page 29 that it mentions the capacity of SDHC memory cards as being from "4 GB to 32 GB", and it says to use a card with an SD Speed Class of "CLASS 2 or higher" to record movies. It also states on page 29: "As of January 2008, the movie recording function has been tested using SD/SDHC memory cards made by Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba.".
So my guess is that most 32 GB cards should work, anything larger than that may not work. Keep in mind though that a 32 GB card would get you almost 7 hours 20 minutes worth of recordings at the best recording mode so you may not need anything larger than that.
