Playstation 3 - what format movies can I play from my USB memory stick?
I've got a PS3 and an 8GB memory stick. I would like to play movies from a memory stick. What formats does the PS3 play? I've tried .mp4 and a couple of others that are SUPPOSED to work but when I try to connect to it it just says that there's no supported media on my drive. What's going on!?! Help!!!!
The thing is, I want to get hi def movies on a 8Gb memory stick and play them - a DVD won't be 'big' enough! I don't have a blu-ray burner either...tricky huh?

What formats support hi-res? AVI seems to downgrade everything and my mp4 file for hi res is 24Gb!I normally convert my movies to MPEG-4 or DivX then transfer that by usb stick to ps3 hdd. In case u didnt know, after u plug in the usb stick, go to video menu then scroll up till the usb thing shows up and select traingle on it, then select display all and u'll see all playable video stuff u got on there.
