Will a fault in the motherboard classify as a warranty job?
I had my tech friend check out my HP lap which stopped working. He opened it up and realised that there was a fault with the motherboard like no power was getting through there or something.
Should HP pay for this as the computer is still under warranty? Have you dealt with HP, are they fair? How do they decide whether or not its a warranty job? I'm worried they will tell me I have to pay for the repairs myself which I'm told is a small fortuneIf there is a fault with the motherboard, it should be a warranty covered item. Now where you may have a problem with HP (or a lot of other manufactures) is that they will try to say that the fault happened due to lack of care by you...i.e. things like rough handling of the laptop causing the fault.
So you will have to stick to your plan and be ready for a fight.
