Will PC6400 DDR2 800MHz RAM work in DDR2 533/667/800 motherboard (ECS Geforce 6100SM-M)?
Hi,I have just bought a motherboard and some RAM. I have just noticed that the motherboard does not take quite the same RAM as I bought for it.
The motherboard is an 'ECS Geforce 6100SM-M MATX AM2 DDR2' which, it says, supports DDR2 533/667/800 memory modules at 266/333/400 MHz memory bus.
The RAM I have bought is 800MHz PC6400 DDR2 800MHz. Will this work?
Thanks for your helpHello,
Yes it should. It is DDR2 (double data rate) which means it sends data at both the rising and falling edge of the clock cycle or twice the rate of SDR. So 400Mhz doubled is called DDR800 or pc6400.

Aside from allowing for broadband connection, the netbook also has Super-3G broadband technologies -- a built-in mobile tri-band High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA). This means that downloads can be achieved at a speed of up to 7.2Mb/s for the HSDPA and 2Mb/s for the HSUPA.

The ECS G10IL also has a 1.3 mega pixel camera that provides high-resolution graphics. Engaging in videoconferences through messaging systems is enhanced.
Cons

Conclusion
The ECS G10IL isn't the lightest netbook but it has other features that make it worth buying.
