This laptop edition is definitely a very interesting unit. It is also very balanced. It is very stylish and good-looking, while providing a lot of power. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7-720QM processor running at a frequency of 1.6 GHz and 1333 MHz FSB. With 4 GB DDR3 of memory, it is a true beast! You can upgrade it up to 8 GB DDR3 (2 Dimm). This quad edition laptop's 320 GB SATA hard disk running at 7200 rotations per minute is more than enough to store all your data.
The 1 GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M offers games high quality video. And since the video card is so promising, the display is even better. A 18.4-inch diagonal High Definition Infinity display with a maximum resolution of 1920x1080p delivers amazing image quality. As the primary optical drive, you get a Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW. The HP Pavilion dv8t quad edition comes with a very good low-light web cam and a Fingerprint reader.
A few issues with the HP Pavilion dv8t quad edition
The HP Pavilion dv8t gives the impression that it needs more for its price tag of $1,149 basic configuration. It does not have a TV tuner and the sound quality is under our expectations. There is only one major problem with this laptop - the absence of a RGB LED screen. Also, the keyboard is not lighted. Very strange!
Is the HP Pavilion dv8t quad edition worth the money?
This is a very stylish laptop that delivers exactly what it promises. With a powerful processor, a lot of RAM, a fast and large hard disk, and a very good video card, this laptop would have received 5 stars out of 5 maximum. However, due to some problems, the HP Pavilion dv8t quad edition receives only 4.5 stars out of 5 maximum.
We agree that when it comes to performance, the HP Pavilion dv8t quad edition, with its i7-720QM processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, and 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M, the HP Pavilion dv8t quad edition is a very good choice. It will definitely be more appreciated than a desktop computer. In our opinion, it is well worth its price!
