External Firewire Hard Drives Q and A's
Having conflict issues between my firewire external hard drive and a firewire peripheral. Can anyone help?
I have an LG Laptop with 2GB of Ram, that is connected via a firewire hub to a Maxtor 320 external hard drive and an M-Audio Firewire home recording peripheral. They seem to be conflicting to the point where my external hard drive stops communicating with the computer randomly. Any help with resolving these conflicts would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem here.
I am running a Firewire soundcard (Motu Traveller) and a firewire hardrive ) Maxtor 320. It's very random, sometimes i loose connection with my soundcard when i put the hardrive on.
Othertimes if i am trying to stream some video from the drive and listen to the sound through my soundcard the program freezes- Ive tested this with my internal soundcard and its fine and did the same and tested my built in hardrive and it works fine.
