I can't play my itunes from an external memory hard drive?
and i deleted my library from my computer, with itunes open and the hd plugged in it won't do anything, only think i can do is drag and drop one by one but i have over a 1000 songs, how can i do it? HELP?!?
I had the same problem and the only way I found around it was to drag and drop the songs into itunes so it would load them in the right place. I didn't understand why I couldn't simply specify the new location and copy them manually, but iTunes didn't recognize it.
You don't have to do it one at a time though. Theroetically you could drop the whole thousand. I had nearly 6000 songs and I did it a few hundred at a time. Yeah, it's a pain to move the library.
