Sound disappeared when I changed jack-stick in Windows 7?
I've recently installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer. The other night I wanted to switch mi 5.1 speakers out with a headset because i wanted to Skype. But, by doing so my sound card "disappeared" from my system. And it's not the onboard Realtek driver issue. I have an Audigy LS sound card. I've tried reinstalling the driver, but without luck. Help!
Skype swiped your Audigy
Plug it into the Realtek onboard see if it will steal that.
Since you have onboard Realtek, plug into that for Skype
In Skype Audio Settings select the Realtekhttp://www.skype.com/intl/en/help/guides/soundsetup_vista.html#4
At least deselect the Audigy from Skype settings so it will quit reconfiguring the Audigy for itself.
